Description
It had taken her longer than she thought it would, things had been happening so fast with all of the issues with the spirits .. She hadnt had to time to actually do the ceremony to become an adult. She was old enough; and she was ready... she, and everyone just didnt know if they were going to die within the next week. She had decided though; it was time and she wanted to be an adult before anything happened. Once she was an adult, she could have a house, and could take care of Remi, they wouldnt have to huddle for warmth in the rain.

Her thoughts were interrupted, as Remi knocked on the door to the stall she was sitting in. "You doing ok Specks?" he asked. "Youve been in the bathroom for a while,, are you nervous?"

Specks looked at her paws, touching the pads and putting her claws out before retracting them again, just feeling the way they moved. "Yeah. Im ok."

Remi waited for a moment... "you sure?" he asked again.

"yes." she smiled softly, and sent her claws out again, inspecting them fondly, picking some dirt off. "Ill be out in a minute, I just wanted to have a moment to myself." she told him softly. Remi took a breath and looked down.

"Okay, well, Gale is ready when you are, and silver is here too so everyones just waiting on you." he paused. "No pressure though! if you need time, take it!" he said nervously. He looked around, and realized where he was standing. "Ohh, oh! I gotta go!" He left in a hurry, suddenly anxious about being around Specks when she was in the bathroom.

Specks took another deep breath and sat for a moment; and sheathed her claws again. "okay. Im ready" she told herself, and stood up. Heading outside to go do the ceremony.

Outside, the rain had started up again. The past couple weeks it had been raining more and more, becoming colder and colder. She frowned slightly, she had waited too long hadnt she. But thats okay, she was doing it now. She took another deep breath and headed up to the Mayor, and was recognized as an adult. Finally. She smiled to herself as she wrote her name in the book.
