i never drew any picture related to my history in basketball. i got injured several times in college, and i got depressed trying to prove myself to everyone. It was a cycle of spending 3-5 hours in training and therapy everyday, and getting injured again. Before senior year, i had my knee operated. Then i decided to stop all together.That's when i got really serious with my photography and artwork. I feel like the universe was waiting for me to come to my senses.
this is a mix of sketching, painting, inking and digital chorva eklavu.

i always sucked at basketball, man, playing it in PE in high school was so depressing for me. haha. i was a major klutz! and it didnt help i didnt know what my role (in PE basketball) as a center was. i mean, i was running in circles! >_< good thing high school is now over. but wait-- i realized i just got my highschool yearbook in MC awhile ago and i was like, here we go again.
anyway, its a good thing you rediscovered art and photography-- i guess when everything is quiet, a new sense of purpose in your life emerges.

In hindsight, these are the times when we look back and go "What the heck was I thinking? Why didn't I stop sooner?!"
On the other hand:
At least you persisted in basketball though, I think that would have helped you with your discipline when drawing and stuff... continuing through suffering creates perserverence, which is the most awesome quality to possess!

those pills represent all the medicine i took during my injury. i was doing so much therapy, taking in so many pills, avoiding so many things like kneeling on the ground, bending over, simple things like that. hehe. it's done and it's great
