spookiful indeed. it was a bright picture and as i kept working on it i felt sadder and sadder (haha the things a picture can do..gawsh) ayun it ended up looking spookyish. i'm not sad though, hehe. it's just insanity.

Suspended where all is serene and green and fine and flowery -- while the bottom continues to crumble away below. How often our escapes are merely excursions into unreality. She's all decked out for beauty and meditation, but it seems she has brought here bonds with her (that's a nasty looking corset and bodice). May she yet find the peace that eludes her.

wow nice interpretation steve. yeah. escapes are always temporary. i imagine being ripped out of the ground i stand on sometimes, when i have nowhere else to rest. and then i think of the raw reality that i can't truly escape and i've gotta move foreward.

astig.. escape found in one's own space... one thing though.. all the shades/shadow are grainy, noisy, strong or harsh except for those on the face. im not a fan of uniformity but yea.. hehe.

i think your work is beautiful the contrast between dark colours and bright colours really brings out a deep feeling.
the string lifting u away from your trobles, the ribbon that once contained you, are now loose and flowing, letting you breathe again.
the bright flowers that in full bloom, that are still alive even after their roots have been tore out, ripped away from their life support...sounds like a metorfore....
floating away from people and their words.
i'm sounding like my art teacher..lol
