Hi. This is my day 4 entry for Aninktober! I don't want to whine, but I'm not entirely happy with how the grass came out and you can barely see the colors in the sky. Though, I think these two Annies are a pretty cute mother-daughter couple! It's been getting very tiring to make illustrations but it's also a lot of fun so it's definitely worth it. I'm trying to include more MYOs so that those people also get art of their characters during the events, and Lyra's mother Nadeshiko was a good start.

Day 4, Pumpkin Carving
''Now all Annies, humans, and animals will feel welcome in the vast lands of Asternaive.'' Nadeshiko announced with a welcoming smile on her face. ''The fireflies have enough food too, so at night they will radiate beautifully with their trickling colors.'' ''Mama,'' Lyra chimed in. ''What's with the bushes in the pumpkins though? They don't really suit all the pretty colors...'' ''That's Boxwood, my Lyra. It will prevent animals from eating the pumpkins without necessarily hurting them.'' Nadeshiko replied with a thoughtful look spread across her face. ''Plus, the fireflies will be safe from any predators, so they too can have a happy Halloween.'' ''That makes a lot of sense, mama. You're very clever!'' ''Lyra...'' Her mother pondered as her eyes narrowed with warmth, before leaning down and giving her dear daughter a kiss on the cheek. ''You and your brother truly are incredible!'' Lyra laughed in response, her lips felt so warm on her cheek. Yes, that tingling in your stomach, that bliss you feel when you're happy. That's how Nadeshiko makes her feel, and she hopes that the creatures to approach Asternaive feel the same.
