I was testing for a concept art position, because a friend who works there got me an interview.

I'm ok with not getting the job, less than a year later Mythic basically laid off their entire work force so I'd have moved to the other side of the country and have been out of a job.

He's like a blood dragon, awe, you should see my vampire lord I made, I took the beastiale vampire and a blood dragon on foot and swapped the head of the blood dragon's for the beastialle, a wing, some bits, and abit of green stuffing later and I have my custome lord! now i just need a camera XD
but i really like the art, its...so....epic!!

These test pieces are extremely tight for test pieces. That really sucks that you didn't get the job.

yes, yes it does suck...

I had 10 days for both pieces, so I wanted to churn out the best I could in that time frame to give myself the best chance possible. From what I've heard, my environment piece was the best of all the candidates... which doesn't speak too highly of the other candidates if I'm setting the environment bar hah

I'm not surprised you had the best environment, as AD for NGoM I get a ridiculous number of submissions where portfolios consist of characters on a white backdrop.
