Yisun had always loved sparring. The simple motion of back and forth was akin to a dance – each step distinct from the other, and each movement deliberate. That being said, she had never sparred against a performer before. The Terrakion untied her weapon from her side before entering the simple clearing where the demonstration would take place. The circle of people around Fushishi and her held their breath as the two acknowledged each other.

“Let us learn something from each other!” Fushishi called out with a smile. He had taken off the paint he usually wore. Despite this sparring match’s many similarities to an onstage performance, a fight remained a fight.

“Yes.” Yisun nodded. “I have no doubt about that.”

The judge on the side held his hand up before swinging it down. Yisun threw her arms out and charged at Fushishi with a barrage of Stone Edge, and Fushishi engulfed her in a storm of Magical Leaf. Splendid. She saw Murakumo watching her intently near the back of the crowd, and heard Saki screaming out cheers of encouragement. Fushishi’s family members were present as well –Shizuka had a hand held up to her mouth, nervous but confident in her husband’s abilities, and Iemotobana grinning with confidence…

Truly, what a splendid dance.

For round 2 of this year's talent round, I was paired off against ! We had different ideas for how Yisun and Fushishi could compete against each other, so I decided on just them sparring against each other. I provided the flipped version of the picture so the bottom half can be seen easier /o/
