The pic its self is a bit scratchy and rough but the inner quality shines through. Sometimes a little roughness gives the pic a little warmth. An overly processed pic after all can start to be a little sterile.

That's cool. I used to not care for original characters thinking things like "Why would I want to see this character I don't know?" But now that I create my own as well I start to realize how a creator can fall in love with a character (Not THAT way), and pour that love and attention into the art." I can see you're much the same with your character.
