While just speculation, certain abelisaurs such as majungasaurus (as seen here) may have sometimes resorted to cannibalism. Putting the strangely anatomically body of a majungasaurus in mind, it's possible that they (and their similarly shaped relatives) swallowed large chunks of meat/smaller prey whole - similar to modern day reptiles.Related content
