hey!well... this might seem redundant for some... but i felt this was in dire need, for myself anyways.
i've always felt i rushed chapter 1, and was just down right lazy with some of the art. so i decided to redo chapter 1 almost completely.
don't worry, i was very careful to keep it consistent, and not to hurt the original image of chapter 1. just to redo the major things that bothered me, and clean up a bit of the linework.
i will keep the original chapter 1 up here for anyone who likes it more, but this will be the art that appears in reprints of Dave books, as well as the issues.
SPEAKING of which, i am now in the process of doing issue comics of Dave chapters. they are already pretty boss, and i hope to have them available on the store eventually, but for the time being, im just selling them at cons.
SPEAKING of which, if you happen to live in Ottawa, i will be going to the comic con next weekend.
i will post a map and shit of where i will be for those it may concern.
anyways, thats it, sorry its not much, but i didn't want to leave you guys out.

Wow this is just precious! I love how Dave's design evolved despite being so streamlined. His legs became longer, his eyes wider... He's so full of character, it's incredible

it was kind of a struggle redoing this, because i had to remember how short his legs used to be. i suppose they should be even shorter than they are here, but oh well. now he seems much more 3 dimensional, which was my main complaint about the original art.

yup, it's true. i have plans for the future of Dave, but in my mind Dave's wurld will be done.
I'm both looking forward to it, and dreading it.
i sometimes feel like i should have left well enough alone, that chapter 1 was the pinnacle of the series. but i don't know, its been a learning experience.
hopefully the next series will be better.

The first chapter was indeed the most inspiring, but the whole series is quite mind-boggling and it does convey complex messages in a really graceful way. This story could be done by you and only you, so it's fair to be conflicted, the only important thing is that you keep doing the best for the series until the very end, and then move forward properly.
I am sure you will become even better, and i'm here to read all the stories that will follow

yeah i have plans for a couple of different series, most of them spin-offs from dave's wurld, but not in a direct sense, more in a general sense.
and as far as the next series with Dave. i have big ideas, and i feel it's worth doing even if for some it may undermine the ending to daves wurld. i want the next series to feel so different and alien to Daves wurld that most don't make the connection.
