I wasn't too happy with my other geisha entry. I felt it was too messy, after all it was a rush job. So i decided to clean it up a little. Besides, I made a mistake, Sayuri's eyes were described as blue-gray in Memoirs of a Geisha. Fixed it in this version.Related content

very beautiful and elegant. cherry blossom is coming.
I like the non shaded look, which creates (sort of) a colored woodcut look. O.K. not exactly but something like that
there is just the right amount of detail. And the hai looks fine.

overall nice illustration, great col and comp ...the only thing i can see wrong with this is that she looks too westernised (roundish eyes, big bone structure)

I looooove that book
Nice job here. I like how you've incorporated the cherry blossoms into the background. Nice bold shapes, the hair looks great. Like downtown said, it's got this nice, rounded cartoony feel to it.
If I may make ONE suggestion, it's with the pupils of the eyes... they're a little too small and narrow, which gives them a demonic/serpentine kind of appearance. I think rounded pupils would look more expressive and give her nicer personality

Thanks for the pointer on the eyes. I think I've fixed it but they might be a lil too big. Can't really tell cos I've gone crossed eyed myself looking into hers
