I haven't played the SNES original, I'm more familiar with X on the N64. My brother and I have had many hilarious and awesome moments in that game. I'm okay at GX, but not as good.
Overall, racing games aren't my niche; I prefer RPGs, turn-based strategy and adventure games.

I've mentioned I'm fond of the Fire Emblem series, that's my main one. I also like its sibling series, Advance Wars.

Advance wars is pretty neat, but I like the more personal relationship yu get with FE's units.
Advance wars is still pretty fun, though.
I only played one of them, but I really enjoyed Shin megami tensei - Devil Survivor. That was awesome!

I never really got into that series, for some reason. And I agree about the bonds you get with characters in Fire Emblem, I'm guilty of getting very attached to characters in the 3DS games. I still have a tendency to play Advance Wars with Fire Emblem in mind, and attempt to minimise losses as much as possible.
