and then again 2 days later.

perhaps I'll be inspired again...
(despite the fact that there is only 2 decent songs on their new album... ahh hell)

Shit you're so lucky! I live in Vancouver, Canada, so I can only hope that they'll come here soon.. I wasn't a fan of theirs up until this year, then BAM! I discovered the mindblowing brilliance of Muse. I don't know how often they come to Canada. They apparently are going to go on tour opening for My Chemical Romance (I know, I know, they should not be an opening band) so I can only wish that they would come here with them, since I'm not sure if they will come here on their own.

Aw I'll admit that the new album is veryyy different from their former releases, and I'm still not certain if I like it as much as their older stuff, but some of the songs are definitely amazing in their own right. Absolutely standout great songs like Supermassive Black Hole, Map of the Problematique, Invincible, Hoodoo, Knights of Cydonia (hilarious!)... which ones do you like and dislike?

Assasin is standout. It's the best song on the album. It's the only one with any balls, and that's what Muse has lost a lot of in the past few years. I get the artistic "i'm-an-artist-and-I-fuck-around-with-my-art", but I'm all for Matt tearing his lungs out and ripping his guitar (check out "Ashamed" on the Hullabaloo soundtrack and listen to it a full volume).

but just to make you even more horrified... I'm seeing My Chemical Romance on the same day as Muse. The are coming out for the Big Day Out Festival here in Aus. Tool is also going to be there.. so as you can imagine, I'm fairly sick with anticipation.

Assassin is a very good song, but it had to grow on me to be honest. Very well-constructed, just not as instantly loveable as the others were for me I am all for Matt "tearing his lungs out and ripping his guitar" (great way to put it!) as well, so I do wish that he'd done that more on this album, but as I said I do appreciate this one still and there are songs on it that I just can't resist.

I have not heard Ashamed yet. I will download it now though.

You are TOO LUCKY I wish we could trade places for that day. Oh I always get sick with anticipation about shows, especially the day on the actual concert, I usually have to stop myself from throwing up I'm so goddamn nervous. Especially since I went to see The Killers in September, and was supposed to recieve tickets at the venue, and the company sending them had not done it and it was absolutely terrible..
So now I'm a little scared of purchasing tickets
