Okay, so it was mainly PaperLillie who inspired me to make my own interpretation of Luigi falling into the River Twygs from Super Paper Mario. (Thank you, Lillie, you are amazing 
) It was also my mom playing a chapter or two from said game, as well. 
Now, from what I remember in the game, Dimentio sent Mr. L to the Underwhere after the jester saw a change in plans. I know it's non-canon, but I like to think that Mr. L was actually "killed" instead of being sent there alive. But since Luigi himself didn't "die", he took control of his body once again. c: I included Mr. L's hat, bandanna and his mask to show how the transformation occurs, since when Mario finds Luigi later on, he was wearing the normal green plumber outfit instead of the villain's jumpsuit. 
Kinda abstract, but hey, when do any of these things ever make sense? *shot* The words written within the water were also inspiration from PaperLillie , who, I stress, is such an amazing deviant and I am so jelly of her.

This is amazing, I actually had a similar idea, also how you do his hair is so cute, why could he not have been wearing the hat in the game(also this is my favorite game mainly because...well it's awesome, except for the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials, I hate thing)

Abbie, this is truly amazing! I love the colors of the river, they're blending very smoothly <3 Also the glowing of the underhands, they stand out from the water and you just have to look at them 
Now, I just have to add my theory here: I think Mr L was sent alive, but unfortunately fell into the River Twygz while being unconscious. I think that's why he lost one of his lifes, being send to the place where Mario found him as Luigi :3

I didn't mention it because I knew she had a similar picture, but I actually had my inspiration from the game and from something I saw on pixiv (which I didn't mention either because it has nothing to do with Mario) and so I hoped it would be okay Γ³wΓ²

Funny enough, I just used a bunch of transparent gradients to give the river that blending effect. Guess it worked out great!

I have tons of fonts, but I really had to dig through them to find one that I thought would look good in the water.
So now Mr. L only has two lives left, huh? Interesting
I do have to wonder how the clothes changed. Obviously Dimentio didn't do anything to him, so maybe while drowning, the clothes magically changed?

Yeah, she used to play Super Mario Bros. for the NES, so she has a liking for platforming games. c: However, she's extremely antiquated when it comes to actually playing the game, so I usually have to be with her so that she doesn't get too lost.
