Description Here is Legolas at Aragorn's Coronation. I wasn't planning on doing him for a while, but I couldnt resist when I saw the picture.

It took me about 5 hours using a 2B charcoal pencil.

Any critiques-comments-critismes are welcomed

I love the image itself- it's very nicely done- but I really love his expression. It's beautiful, striking, and a bit sad. Just curious- did you do this from memory or a screencap or what?

aw, you drew him in his pretty end-of-movie garb.

Something about the left eye is irking me (my left) but this is really rad. I love the thing on his head (whever it's called, lol.)

Yes, his eye is a tad bigger than the other one, such a shame too, that is a really nasty birth defect, cause as you know, I draw it as I see it I think he is a wearing a male tearra, which he got at the annual Mirkwood homecoming, he was crowned home coming king . But isn't he perty. . .and thanks for the comments

lol, thanks! I think I could have done better if I spent more time, but it was one of those drawings that were meant to be quicker. For me personally, this is a scene where Legolas looks the cutest, hence why I wanted to draw it.

Because of the heavy lines around his right eye (viewer's left), his other eye appears smaller. Might look for a way to balance that a bit.. I suggest lightening those heavier lines. Other than that, very nice work!

Hmmm, that could be it. But thanks! I think I will try and see what I can do. I might end up re-doing the whole thing in graphite. I have been having too much fun with charcoal at the moment though.

Thanks! I usually make pictures dark, trying to get all the shadows. It was diffinitaly different to hold back and keep things light.

Thanks! I think he is perty too! Hehe, I am not much of a Legolas fan because too many girls drool over him. Thus, the reason why I wasn't going to do him for a while. But I couldn't resist the pertiness of this pic. Shameless, I know!

lol! I prefere Aragorn and Eomer personally. Legolas is hot, but too femmy I think! Faramir is a good choice though. .

Thanks! I am experimenting with charcoal, and seeing what I can do with it. It is a big change from graphite.

Lol, thanks! I was thinking the same thing. They are a tad too big. . something different, cause I usually make them on the smaller side. So maybe nexttime, I will find the happy medium.

nah dont worry about it...sometimes its fun to experiment around anyways, i know i draw eyes entirely to large all the time so i wouldnt fret about it.
