Description
A Belgian Air Force Westland Seaking paying a visit to the MV Larkspur, dropping off some people. The highlight of my day, getting a shot like this of a helicopter without being at an airshow!Got a few more shots of it, dunno if I'll upload or not as it's mostly more of the same. This one might go on a.net, I'm quite chuffed with it. Won't do that now though, but I've really wanted to put this on dA at least.

I must say this shot is simply amazing. The scale and the sense of depth is very intoxicating and is just overall well done. The colors are extremely crisp and bright and only adds detail to the picture.

It really is a lucky shot, I had no idea we were going to get a helicopter visiting us, then all of a sudden saw this Seaking outside the window flying alongside the ship. Grabbed my camera and went outside, and this is the result
Guess that goes to show: always have your camera somewhere nearby!

Jah, gave shot. Mooi scherp, goede compositie van boot en heli. En de kleuren zijn ook prachtig, Kan me voorstellen dat het een dag was om nog eens aan terug te denken.

Het mooiste was dat het niet in de planning zat, ik had een saai boottochtje verwacht tot ik opeens die heli naast ons zag hangen. Daar blijkt maar weer eens uit dat het altijd goed is om je camera in de buurt te hebben!

Altijd je camera bij de hand! Jammer dat ie te groot is voor mijn broekzak, maar ik heb al veel mooie plaatjes gemist door het ontbreken van mijn camera!

Als je geluk hebt laten mensen wel commentaar achter maar dan weet je toch niet wie het is. Maar ja, je krijgt er wel veel meer views. Alhoewel deze ook aardig bekeken is op dA ondertussen

I am going to start my military and mechanics man carreer on the 330 squadron here in Norway operating the Mk43 B Sea King
So i do wonder, what camera is a good ``starter`` for theese kind of pictures ?

What camera is good depends on personal preference. I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ28. Not a DSLR, but that's on purpose. It's more compact this way, while I still have a very capable camera.
