Again, thanks for the shot, man. I took a similar photo of an A-10 back in August.

You're welcome! ^^

I have loads and loads of aircraft photos but I only upload a small number of them just to try and keep my dA account a bit "diverse".

Good point. I try to keep my gallery diverse, after I upload all the aircraft pictures, that is.

Oh lucky you! Great shoot!

And by the way...what would I had to do to get a shoot of the cockpit in flight?

You won't be able to since passengers aren't allowed in the cockpit during flight these days.

Naa...I was thinking that maybe you could take this pic I would imagine that you may have a few other thing to while in flight so don't mind me

I should take my own shoots from Cessna shortly. But I guess that I'll be just to busy for it

I was thinking could you take a picture of the cockpit in flight while flying the aircraft It would look cool!

I'd need a mountable tripod of sorts... Had someone on the jumpseat a while ago who took some photos of my flying but I forgot to ask him to send me them :/ (he was airline staff so he was allowed in the flightdeck)

I'm not used to seeing the A10's in battleship grey. Aren't most of them in olive drab or camouflage?

babynuke In reply to HerrDrayer [2009-10-07 08:40:00 +0000 UTC]

A-10s are most commonly in grey actually...

It does make more sense to have them in grey. Camouflage doesn't do much good in the sky.

Thanks for the upload, man! I greatly appreciate it!

What kind of camera do you use? I ask because I'm noticing how wide the picture is. An interesting touch to the photo is how dark it is. Was a storm on its way before you took that picture?

You're welcome!

And I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ28, has a wide angle lens. Also, I've just cropped this to be more "panorama like", cutting out some boring grass and sky.

It rained a little that day but no storm.

Ah, okay. I use a Kodak Easyshare Digital Camera. The problem is that I can't zoom in enough to aircraft flying by. I can only get a decent shot when they're on the ground or flying really low.

Save up for something better perhaps

But even then, you don't always need a very good camera to make nice shots. This one was also just standing there!
