Anyways did anyone watch Joss Whedon's new series DollHouse? Boy does it suck! It has potential to be so BAD its actually good but so far its just POTENTIAL. My theory is that Joss Whedon just made the series to get Eliza Dushku in fetish-y outfits. Like in the first episode she's already in a motorcycle outfit, a pillowcase, and she's dressed like a strict school teacher, with glasses AND asthma. When she used the inhaler my heart swelled with happiness, then they started talking about some bullshit and my heart just disappeared. And I'm pretty sure I saw her wearing a kimono in one of the ads.
I'm onto you Joss Whedon.

I was wondering why they never used that; or any jokes about 'Willow', 'Oz' or 'Buffy' - all being names that can readily be made fun of.

Was just cruising through my faves, forgot how adorable this is! I'm rewatching Buffy atm, on S7. Even though I've seen it five million times, I'm kinda excited for the episode where Faith comes in, haha. Also, this deviation makes me want to watch S3 quite a lot. I'm probably gonna watch the whole series from the start again, haha. XD

Lol this is like a Whedon-Anonymous forum or something! Lol! But I gotta agree with the majority- Dollhouse's first season was pretty good. It'll be really interesting to see how it turns out. When I heard the premise for the show, at first I was really turned off because it sounds just plain stupid, but it actually goes together and what not.
Love it, but it's still not another Buffy. But I'm still waiting...

I really like dollhouse lol. The first ep. dissapointed me, but it improved especially ep.2 and 4) from there. Episode 6 and on have been awesooooome. Which makes it funny that once fox stoped telling Joss how to do the show (ep 1-5), it got waaaaay better.

I stopped watching it after episode three. Episode two was okay but it wasn't like original or anything and episode 3 was also alright...but kind of stupid. I've been meaning to watch them online but haven't gotten around to it. And I can't get anyone to watch it with me anymore on Friday nights.

yeah, episode 6 on is where the show takes off,and changed most people's minds that didn't like it before. 1-5 were just too Fox for me. Episode 2 I liked, but it wasn't original or anything. Episode 4 was really funny/cute, so I liked that one a bit. And episode 5 was a bit boring, however, the writing, directing, and acting improved greatly. ePisode one i was like- WTF is this. and 3 was only good for how ridiculously retarded it was.

I heard episode 6 was like amazing but then episode 7 went back to being bleh. I know RIGHT? Epsode 1 was TERRIBLE! The people who say they enjoyed it have to be lying! I mean come on! I tried to watch it over once and I just had to stop halfway because my body couldn't take the suck. I liked in episode 3 when Echo went all Faith and started kicking ass but yeah laughably stupid would appropriately describe episode 3. You're tempting me to watch episode 4 I'm going to do that now.

Episode 6 was awesome. Episode 7 was great lol. Some people(although most people I've heard from thought it was good and very Joss) didn't like it because it had more to do with being absolutely hilarious then an actual story line. I couldn't stop laughing throughout it. And I grew to love characters I thought evil before. then 8 on were back to story line and awesomeness. Though I can't help but love 7. I hope you like episode 4. People seemed to either like it, or think it was pointless. But I think Eliza Dushku acting like a little child with brain damage throughout most of it, was hilariously cute. Just try watching the season, and if you don't like it, it just might not be your type of show.

btw- you are sooo right about Dollhouse. It was terrible! Those other people probably just like it 'cause it's Joss Whedon. If it was anyone else they would think it sucks.

Yeah the first episode had way too much going on. And the only way to understand what was actually happening you'd have to go out of your way to read a little about the show. Like its the first episode you don't need 20 sub-plots when you haven't even established the main plot line yet. But second episode was success

I spent the whole week watching Season 3 so the Buffy humor rubbed off on me.
Dollhouse is a lot more fun if you have DVR because that one part with like the boxing match, that was not good.

Eh nevermind. I saw the second episode and I don't like it all that much anymore. It was just like a rip off of 'The Most Dangerous Game' I mean I'm all for cliche dialogue and predictable plot, but unoriginality just doesn't sit well with me.

If you look past Eliza's hotness you'll see nothing but bad plot and contrived dialogue! Like if they casted Kirstie Alley or something as Echo I wouldn't have made to it to the theme song, I wouldn't have made it to like the tv.
I'm a sucker for Eliza Dushku though so I'm going to keep watching till it gets canned.
