Description Exclusive Sneak-Peek!

This is the design document for a new platform mascot action game with puzzle and RPG elements (you can level up your fingers) character that I'm working on secretly (don't worry, I didn't give out all my secrets, such as why is he collecting the things he's collecting). The character's name is tentatively "Fun the Jumper", previously what tentatively known as "Jomps the Character", a play on the word "jump".

He loves justice and hates evil, and will never back down from helping someone in need, although he is not stupid like Knuckles, he will question everything. He loves to solve puzzles, it's his hobby. The game will have many puzzles, but not like Zelda, but like in Banjo Kazooie, except you have to put the puzzle pieces together after you collect them all, so it's not just for aesthetics like Rare's horrible game.

Actions:

-If you hold the jump button he will float down slowly (this is pressure sensitive).
-He can hold two door keys at once.
-If you hold the sucking button he can suck collectables (puzzle pieces for example) towards himself so the player doesn't have to pick them up himself. The trade-off is that it's slower than picking them up yourself and you lose the ability to jump for 3 seconds.
-If you finish the level and have gathered all the Furickiesu (small animals hidden in the stage behind object, so be sure to check behind all the objects!), he will perform his signature pose shown above.
-Enemies speak a fictional language, but you can unlock a translator device to understand them if you get all 70 puzzle pieces and put them together, or you can just buy it from the shop for a very high price (I know a good place to farm Zenny (the game's currency)).

I like how everything is worked out mathematically. If the length between a full finger and a clenched pinkie is any less than six centimeter circles apart the design falls apart.

You outdid yourself this time bobbo!

A lot of R&D goes into video game characters these days. Do you think that you can just put a finger anywhere? No! Did you know the number of circles next to the fingers were optimized using focus groups?

I hope that next time you see a modern cute video game character you appreciate the effort put into it's design.
