Naturally, seeing this first makes me think of Dune where sandworms are a common occurrence on the planet of Arrakis, and I like the fresh look on the creature. It looks suitably alien for its environment. I can't make out the features of the creature right away and I feel that was exactly what you were going for when you first did this piece. I also like the inclusion of the person down there holding the weapon in what I believe might be surprise. He's well detailed and has a sort of Sand People look about him, but his gaze seems to be off. Judging from the angle of where the hood is and where the gun is pointed, I don't think he's actually looking at the worm. I guess that you can make the argument that perhaps he was surprised by the animal, but he would have followed the head anyway, either with his eyes or his weapon. That's the only thing though. I like the arid environment that only seems to make sense for the worm, and the uncertainty of the situation. Sure, it may look bad, but he could still walk away from this.
