Rainmeter Skin:For those of you who are new to Rainmeter, if you want to make your desktop look like the preview image, download the file, go to your skins and open the HeadsUp 1.0 file, set the Wallpaper pic as your desktop wallpaper, then go to Manage Rainmeter screen and click on the "Layouts" tab. Scroll down the saved layouts to "HeadUp 1.0 Skin" and hit load. Enjoy! (If you have a current Rainmeter desktop that is not saved, just designate a name for the layout and save it before you load the new layout. That way you can just switch back if you don't like the new layout).

"ICONS" is simply a shortcut to a folder named icons, just as "SECURITY" is a shortcut to the folder containing my security suites. You can easily edit the name of these shortcuts and the file path they open by editing the rainmeter skin.

Well, the theme on this one is from a program called windowblinds ( [link] ),
but this particular theme is highly modified (I messed witht the color settings to get it to match the Rainmeter theme), but it is called "Frontier"

It's a good skin, but modifying and playing around with it is a bit of a pain. Naming each component the NATO designations wasn't descriptive and made an otherwise positive experience negative.

Yes, I understand what you are saying, but your complaint is more a function of your inexperience with Rainmeter β you can change the names to make them more descriptive (βSystem componentβ, βMemory componentβ, etc.), without effecting the functionality of the program. The phonetic alphabet is simply what I am more comfortable with, personally. In the time it took you took type the complaint, you could have changed those names to ones more to your liking. If you have any questions about Rainmeter, I would be happy to try and help. These Rainmeter programs take time and effort to produce, and they are available free of charge β perhaps you should keep that in mind in the future, and alter the tone of your post to reflect the acknowledgement of this fact. This isnβt the complaint department of Best Buy, after all. That being said, Iβm sorry you had a negative experience, and would be happy to help you if you need help with the program.

This is actually my desktop. Initially, it was about 20 different skins, but people kept wanting to know where they could download it, so I finally gave in and created the same look in my own Skin. It was more involved than I thought it would be, thats for sure. Took a couple of weeks to tinker it into looking just right. Thanks for the love. Its nice when people appreciate the work
