Description
Unseen
I won’t make a sound unless you need me,
Don’t worry.
I’m just a fly on the wall,
Watching it all,
Waiting for someone to see me.
I understand,
I’m just one more shadow
In this never-ending night.
It’s hard to see
If you don’t have a light.
And the ones that shine,
Well they’re few and far between;
Maybe never again will they shine on me
You see?
It's so sickening
That my light is flickering.
Sometimes, it seems, that's all it does.
How was I to know the shadows' beckoning
Was only just a ruse?
The light just seems so fleeting,
And darkness never ending,
No matter what you do
There will always be your shadow
Creeping up behind you.
