Uhm, huh... Could it be that her Final Assessment was also supervised by Judge Morphy and she also wears boots two sizes smaller than her feet? My knowledge of the Dredd-verse doesn't go much beyond the six/seven trade paperbacksΒ that have been published in Italy*and the issue was never exlored in anyone of them.
* Two of them prominently featuring Judge Anderson, hence my convincing imitation.

Female size 5 in the UK is equivalent to a size 7.5 in the US, a much more reasonable number in my opinion. It's quite possible that your interpretation is true, since British writers would tend to envision things according to the measure units they and their main audience are most familiar with, just like miles and feet often become kilometers and meters in adaptations for mainland Europe.

Can't remember the exact story, but I saw them referring to a "windshield" as a "windscreen," which is a British term, so you're probably right.
