Warbirds never die, they just turn into Parakeets.This F-86A after a productive life as a fighter was relegated to Target Tug duties with the Montana Air National Guard.
This scheme was seen and photographed at Nellis AFB where a gunnery competition was being held.
The bright colours were supposed to stop attacking fighter jocks from confusing the target sock with the tug.
