Description after watching this video, i was just inspired to do a quick little sketch.

i know most of us love japan...
and some of us only care because we're worried for our anime. and, sadly, that's selfish... but it's also something americans do. put themselves before others.
but as long as that gets them to care, we should be happy.
this is just a sketch requesting that everyone keep Japan in their prayers, and if you can't donate, sing it.

I think this is awesome! MCR FTW! Personally I'm more worried about the people than the anime, but that's just me.

well, the photo itself isn't the sketch.

the photo itself is a photo manipulation.

that'll work.
it's mostly gonna be me complaining about how yesterday was literally
the most depressing, sad, and loneliest birthday of my life.

a birthday.. should not be depressing.
it's bullshit that durand has to have HIS birthday party THIS weekend.
why can't he wait 'til next weekend?
i dont' even GET a party, the least i could get is to have my friends over on the weekend after my birthday.
but guess what!?
ALL of my friends are going to HIS party THIS weekend.
i don't even get to spend the weekend with MY girlfriend.
you can take his side if you like
but not without admitting that's all bullshit, and i've somehow been forced to pull the short stick.

it's not my birthday weekend...
that's durand's birthday weekend...
he took MY weekend D:
that's what i'm depressed about.
MY birthday, and i have to be alone.
he should have planned his party for NEXT week.
UGH. *facedesk*

if he'd at LEAST invited me, whether or not i'd come, then maybe it wouldn't be so fucking annoying.
but he didn't even extend a hand to me to say "hey, you're welcome to come."
no, now i have to spend my entire fucking birthday and following weekend ALONE, BORED, and MISERABLE.

*people
not Americans, people.
It's a psychological thing. It's how we made sure to keep ourselves alive before life's hardships were not having money to get things. It was highly beneficial, a survival of the fittest that dates back to primitive days.

and also, japan has stated they don't want money.
i'm just saying.

baddreams55 In reply to godmaschine [2011-04-14 22:01:27 +0000 UTC]

it's a human phenomenon.
but it's prominant in america.
other nations are more charitable than america.
because america is more primal than anyone else.

and yes, japan has stated that.
but they still accept charitable donations.
because they appreciate the help.

or because they have no choice, because the Red Cross would go there whether tehy wanted to or not.
If you want to donate to a country, give it to the government, not to the charity funds in the USA.

well that's where the charity funds send money to...
Japan's government.

Do some goddamn research. There's no way they would be able to get to Japan if it wasn't for them pocketing it to get there. Their organisation wouldn't be up and running if they didn't pocket it.
Or, you can continue being a douchebag.

baddreams55 In reply to godmaschine [2011-04-15 05:05:17 +0000 UTC]

in charity, and fundraisers, all the money goes to paying
for the venue, and the rest goes directly to charity.
none is 'pocketed' for the benefactor's profit.
