Description Who is Derpy Hooves? She appears in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in several episodes. She is called Derpy Hooves because of what is thought to be an animation mistake, as one of her eyes was looking up and the other was looking down in the very first episode.

I had heard that she was referred to as Ditzy Doo in the Winter Wrap Up episode so I wanted to hear it for myself. She had to go get the southern birds back... But she went NORTH...

In any case, while watching the episode, I was on the lookout for her as well to see where she'd appear...

There are FOUR Derpy Hooves in one place, at one time... And I think I missed one further in the front...

Derpy was just an Internet-given name for the character. I will always see her as Ditzy. I only call her Derpy because no one seems to recognize Ditzy any more. :c

Yeah, but the reason why Derpy is more special is because the character is used a few times during the many episodes, and even as a side-character, still has a role to play somewhen, so it doesn't make much sense to use a unique character more than once in one frame.

I hope I didn't bore you with that... I prefer making longer explanations, even though they're better off short, because it's sometimes easier to understand when it's better detailed...

Wow! And I thought I was soooo clever spotting two Derpys right next to each other in the season finale. Good eye.

This is more proof that Derpy spends an awful lot of time hanging out with Doctor Whoof. I'll bet she had him take her back a day three times in a row so there would be more of her to help winter get wrapped up. What a sweet thing to do. She's such a hard-working pony, and way more generous than Rarity.
