Hello again.
Just a question.?
What's the amount of fuel tankage on/in the main ship?
How many cargo mountings does it take to refill the main tanks?
Cheers.

The main ship tanks hold 3300 tons of fuel - 300 tons to power the powerplant for a month, plus 3000 tons jump fuel, enough for a single jump of varying range, depending on the number of pods it carries. I assume a ship this size would operate from refueling stations along the main routes. being filled up when it swaps passengers and cargo. The ship is streamlined though, and dispite having a feeble maneuver drive (1g, reduced to even less when carry pods), it could refuel from a gasgiant if it temporarily detached the pods and left them in orbit while it did so. It could also use extra fuel carried in fuel pods (3 could give another full jump load) but as each pod added reduces the range, this might be a waste.

Thank'e!
Very handy knowledge when working out strategic planning type things for the ship's use.

Yes, all are drawn to the same 15mm scale as used in classic Traveller, snapshot and Azhanti High Lightning. Each square is 1.5 metres across. I wanted to be able to do ship to ship boarding games by butting a couple of the maps up against each other. Hopefully they should all be the same scale if you print them.

Just a question after a thought.
If some one were to take six of the 1K dTon modules and lock them together 'edge to edge' so as to form a hexagonal shape.......
How much volume is thence created within the hexagonal space between said structures?
I'm just thinking of a quick way to make a 'Small' station by having two of these vessels move three modules apeice into position and thence, after some maneuvering, locking saaid modules into a 'ring'. The open ends of which can then be sheeted over and the interior space created used as an even bigger bay area?
Thoughts?
Much cheers to you and yours.

That's a good idea, cargo pods linked to create space stations. A ring would maybe be 6 for the ring, and as another could fit in the middle, that would make a 7000 ton station? It could be transported in sections and assembled 'on site', with more levels of pods added as needed, to create huge arcologies. Maybe a few specialist engineering, industrial, labratory, or hydroponics pods could be made as well so the station could perform different roles? Might need a power plant or solar sails though, as well as a control section?

Neet!
Though.. I must admit, I've been thinking of such for more...nefarious purposes.
I'm the DM of a game where my players have ceom across a Pirate base.
Of course, not everything and every one of the Pirate gang are at said base. The bad guys are using the above idea to create a 'Mobile' site of operations from where they can launch raids/attacks more easily with out getting caught.
One of the biggest issues with Traveller is the whole 'Jump dynamic'. A ship usually jumps in and has to refuel. Pirates and raiders can't really afford to be stuck in a gas giant's gravity well refuelling with a hold full of booty while the authorities look for them.
Having a base that's tucked away only a J-1 away from the space lanes allows for short jumps in and out.
Of course, the investment of the pirates in such a set up means they've been pirating for a good while. Or have very rich or powerful connectiions.... Or both...
I'm also a player in a freind's game and doing similar things by utilizing Mr Robert Pearce's deck ideas travellerrpgblog.blogspot.com/
I've been trying to think how you'd go about 'Fitting' some of into such a space as prefab.
Interestingly, all his shapes are about 20X120 squares while the pods on the tug are 16X29 (Flat side to 'apex' of the hexagonal shape).
But his floor plans and the volume available in this design are a nice thing to play with.
Much cheers

Awesome work.
Uhm.. I thik I missed something but...
... Is the integral cargo deck depicted?
Much cheers!

Yep, deck F, sandwiched between the crew decks the huge fuel tank. I imagine it would be used to carry lifeboats, space tugs (for attaching cargo), or transit craft, so positioned a launch cradle in each. They could be left empty though to just carry cargo.

Oh! Thanks for the reply but it was just me not doing the whole reading comprehension thing.
Cheers.
