This is really great. I love how expressive it is, and the super stylized look. I think it really works with a character like Doffy. Oh and another thing the black shading and the white highlights kinda reminds me of the eye-catches from Gurren Lagaan. Probably not intentional, but anything that reminds me of Gurren Lagaan is a plus in my book.
