“ЗАЛЕСЬЕ”

Залесье — чудное село под Симферополем, лежащее меж двух гор в начале Чумакарской балки. Именно здесь встречаются Внешняя и Внутренняя гряды Крымских гор! Достопримечательности: чешме (фонтан-источник)  Чумак-Кары, а также скифское городище и крепость  на горе над селом.

Zalesye is a marvelous little village nears Simferopol, lying between the two mountains at the beginning of the Çumaq Qarı Valley. It is the place where the Outer and the Inner Ridges of the Crimean Mountains meet. Places to see: the  Çumaq Qarı çeşme (old drinking fountain); the Scythian settlement and fortress  on the mountain above the village.

Materials: Gouache, Russian sauce crayons, pastels, acrylic white, black ink, Derwent watercolor pencils, colored pencils, 42x50 cm.

I always feel better upon seeing these rather happy interpretations of

Yea, it took me a while to find the English term for this wonderful art material not made outside of Russia using some exquisite clays from the Donetsk region of Ukraine.
