At last, the 3rd of 5 pages of the S Breeds.
I had a lot of fun with this particular page! I'll get started on the 4th!

Great job, I forgot I requested the silken windhound it looks just like the ones I’ve seen at rare breed shows. Thanks again. My other faves are the Sloughi, Slovak Cuvac both varieties of Shiloh Shepherds the Smooth Fox Terrier and especially the Siberian Husky.
That husky reminds me of D.J. the Disney star in Snow Dogs and Eight Below. As for the rest of the dogs on this page I love them all keep up the good work I can’t wait to see what comes after the S breeds.

Wow. I love how alive they feel in this page. the top and bottom three especially! Heres a question...How do you get so many breeds? Do you now them bay heart or do you have a list for them. i have a dog breeds encyclopedia and it doesnt have some of the breeds you show here, thats why I wanted to know. *-*

I found myself skipping a few COMPLETLY unknown breeds that I don't think are even breeds! But the ones I see in the sources I listen above are the ones I draw.

Ahhh, ok. Mine has a few not-too well known breeds, like the Aidi (I think that how you type it, cant remember right now) But not some of the breeds you have there, but then again, its not that big a book. But it does have good info on the breeds and pictures. *-*.
Hum... I`ll check out the FCI Kennel site. It sounds great!
I guess it is sensible to skip a few breeds, since drawing all of them is... hum..had worck to say the least. xD

Who did you use as the model for the LC Shiloh? Shilohs are another one of the breeds I've looked at for SAR, but I don't think I can handle the health risks with them... I love them, but so many problems

The pose I made up myself. The facial markings and body colours I used from a dog in the Dog's Annual in Canada. There are quite a few Shiloh Shepherd ads in there with plenty of pictures!
I don't know anything about that breed. I am guessing they get the typical Hip dysplasia? I am not much of a GSD person.. I don't trust them..

Actually there isn't much HD in Shilohs, but there's lots of cancers, and gastrointestinal problems that cause their bodies to shutdown. Unpredictable things, that would surface after a dog was trained, and working (mature) Scary!
Shilohs are *basically* a GSD x Malamute, much sillier than GSDs. I love their dispositions, but the health problems, I can't do that! There's plenty of healthier breeds I can look to, such as Dutch Shepherds, or the Alapaha Bulldogs that have similar drive, and may be just as suitable for my family.

Cool! I really didn't know that! When I briefly read about them, they said they were a healthier breed.. O_o But cancer is a very serious thing. A reason why I don't have a Bernese Mountain Dog..

Oh they are a healthier breed- MUCH less issues than GSDs, but the problems they do have, are completely unpredictable. That's a big reason I went with Cardigans instead of a Shiloh in highschool/when I started college was because other than the back problems seen occasionally in Cardis, there really isn't much else. Most Cardigans live 13+ years, while most Shilohs (Like GSDs) live about 7yrs (Give or take...) It also helps that Cardis are smaller, and finding a place to rent with a big dog is near impossible, plus I travel a lot, and did more when I started college. I don't know how I would have worked out living with a dog bigger than Traum!
I've been a total dog addict since I was a kid, and now as a profession work with dogs daily. I've been showing dogs since I was 9, and am around dogs as often as I can between daily household living, hobbies, and events. It's my life

Inseting the accent marks is pretty easy. Simply copy the dog's name from the source and paste it in the box!

Hahaha, yes, copy/pasting is our best friend, eh? xD I had thought of copying the accented letters from your description but was a bit too lazy to do it. I know there are letter codes for each mark that sometimes work, but then you have to look them up every time..*sigh* XD

Pretty nice! I could recognize all the breeds before reading the description (except i few i never heard of before), they're expressive yet they meet all the breed standards!
