NAME: Coral

NICKNAME: Sausage

AGE: 25

BIRTHDAY: February 24th

GENDER: Female

NATURE: Careful

POKEMON / HUMAN: Octillery

HOMETOWN: Pastoria City

HISTORY: Coral was born and raised in Pastoria City; a city on the edge of a giant swamp known as the Greath Marsh. She was raised by her parents; Nila and Adron, and her grandparents; Zeru and Coral, for whom she was named. Ever since she was a child she would hear many stories of the creation of the Great Marsh from the adults in the area. This is where her love for stories began to grow. Her favorite storyteller was, of course, her grandmother. Coral's great grandfather; her grandmother's father, was actually around before the Great Marsh had been created. He had told her grandmother tales of the beautiful sea that had once been and how there hadn't even been a city then and she passed the stories onto Coral. The history of the city was that the sea had drained away over time and became the Great Marsh and that the city was created to protect it. Coral found this to be very mystical and reminded her of medevial times where castles were built and then protected. She often imagined that she was the princess of the Great Marsh and that the others in town were loyal subjects. The fisherman were actually nights, the tailor actually a skilled blacksmith, while the Scarf Guy (as he's known) was really a wizard. That imagination helped spark her want for adventure. Her grandmother also told Coral of her own stories that she experienced as a young woman up until she was married and had children. Her grandmother had once been an avid explorer of the lands who would travel to any place interesting or not just to have a look. She had many trinkets and photos from her travels that fueled Coral's decisision that she would be an explorer one day.

As Coral grew older her love of adventure and stories also grew. She read books upon books of the many places in the world and many others that included fairy tales and folk lore and even books on how to become an explorer. While careful by nature, Coral did pick up the tendency to go exploring. She often climbed the lookout to view the Great Marsh alone; a thing she shouldn't have done, and even tried going to the marsh itself while she was alone. After a rather large "family meeting" about her exploring she came to the conclusion that she shouldn't be doing that, at least not without a parent. She was allowed to go on her adventures, but instead of going alone she went with her grandparents. That was even better for her because her grandmother told her things she didn't know about the specific areas they would go. Her tales introduced her to Durin berries. She could never find a berry better than a Durin berry.

Coral's life kept a relatively steady pace up until around high school. That's when her grandfather died. Zeru had been obviously showing signs of his age. He was often tired and forgetful, he was unable to fly the distances he could once make with ease and his feathers had started to fall out. Because of his age he was no longer able to work on the fishing boat as a scanner (he spotted fish from high up in the sky) and this saddened him to no end. Her grandfather was no longer the joyful Peliper he had once been. It had even come to the point where he couldn't be bothered to leave his room anymore. Once he passed it felt like it had been a blessing for him; he could now fly free in the afterlife, but it didn't lessen the pain they felt.

Coral spent most of her high school years in somewhat of a daze; it just hadn't been the same without grandpa Zeru. She stopped reading about adventures and fairy tales, she stopped going on any of her own adventures, and she had even stopped going to the lookout. It seemed as if she would never get out of that depression, that is, until one special night. It had been a day just like any other: she had gotten up that morning, went through her daily routine, and had gone to school, but there was just something in English class that didn't sit with her well. She had to write about her family. She had heard what the teacher said and she had registered the information, but she was as blank as ever. She didn't know how to feel, but she knew it wasn't a good feeling. After school she had done something she hadn't done since middle school, she had climed up to the lookout. She sat there for what seemed like an eternity looking out towards the Great Marsh and saw the sun setting. A tear fell down her cheek, then another, and another. Soon it had turned into a small stream and then a waterfall of tears. She covered her face as if to stop the flow, but it didn't work. She sobbed for a good hour before she just couldn't cry anymore. There were no more tears to shed. As she wiped her tear stricken face she looked out over the railing only to see the night sky. There was an endless amount of stars in the sky, but there was one that she saw better than the others, and that was the North Star. The same star her grandfather had told her stories of, the same star that showed him the way home, and the star that guided her to this day. At that moment it was as if her grandfather was there with her and she smiled. With one last look to the North Star, and a prayer she made her descent of the lookout. She ran home smiling and sheding a few tears. She had an adventure to plan.

Coral's last year of high school was, by far, the best year for her. She was no longer the sad girl who lost her grandfather, but the young woman who had lived up to her own expectations and made her familiy proud. Not really having any interests other than fishing, foraging, adventuring and exploring she didn't really see the point in going to college. She instead took up an apprenticship at a tackle and bait shop. Throughout the five years she was there she learned quite a lot about fishing rods, tackle, lures, reels, gear, equipment and about the fish themselves. And within those five years, she was able to earn enough money to leave her hometown. While she loved being near her family and friends, working at the shop, and the fact that she had never been further than the town over, she had still decided it was time to go. So, she packed her things, had a few going away parties, said her goodbyes and finally started her long-awaited adventure.

If I'm accepted feel free to use her in drawings, but ask for RPs and please put that I am the creator :]
I'm very sorry for any grammatical or spelling errors. I haven't slept in 19 hours @x@

I based her off of the way you see sausages cut up in bento boxes, lol. That's the reason her nickname is sausage, too. She looked even more like a sausage before I made her more of a pink color xDD I didn't know how to draw in the AC style so I looked it up and, to my surprise, there's a canon octopus character (that made my day >u<). I guess there's only one way to get an octopus in a dress, lol
