Boeing Lockheed AFX YF-24... NOPE!!! It should be Northrop Grumman AFX YF-24 because a Naval Swing wing fighter should always have the heritage of all the Grumman Cats in their lineage.

It just looks too short, makes it seem stubby.

I wish The Variable Sweep wings has a stealth feature too,But it doesn't. This is usually the reason why stealth fighters doesn't have these kinds of wings.

I always wished Navy would have had kept going with their own NATF, no doubt that naval version of ATF from Lockheed based on F-22 would give Navy the edge of combat better than F-35 (my personal opinion) for long time.

picking hardware but the dod and the armed forces needs to be taught money management. Make an stealth and air superiority design that DOESN'T COST $200 MILLION DOLLARS PER AIRCRAFT AND IS NOT A BUNCH OF REQUIREMENTS PUT TOGETHER LIKE THE F-35!! I MEAN GEEZ, ITS LIKE MAKING ALL THE ARMED SERVICES USE AN F-15E STRIKE EAGLE FOR EVERY MISSION.

But stealth is a complicated and tricky thing to achieve on a plane, so it's going to cost a lot for a while longer. Also, making all the services us the F-15E for all missions is not an entirely bad idea. The Eagle has proven to be incredibly capable over the years. It may not be the best fighter, but it can easily challenge anything else currently flying. I'm actually surprised that the proposed carrier variant wasn't selected over the F-14, which at the time was viewed as risky.

Still though, where the hell did he get all that technical data from?

Possibly the F.A.S.? I occasionally snoop around there, but still didn't see anything like this.
