"Aki was born in the tiny rural town of Oldale in Hoenn. He went to a small school where the kids didn't like him much - they got a thrill out of teasing and taunting him. Not that there was anything wrong with the boy; kids will be kids!

Since Aki didn't have any human friends at school, he sought them elsewhere in the likes of Pokemon. At first he was just feeding some wild Pidgeys and Furrets and seemed to have a knack for befriending them (if simply via food....). As Aki got older, this talent matured.

Unfortunately, so did his classmates. After a particularly nasty round of bullying, Aki marched into the nearby park's woods and dramatically vowed that he'd run away from home and school. This was of course an empty threat, but in the heat of the moment it was a great idea...until the boy was beset by Beedrills. Thinking quickly, the boy reached into his backpack and pulled out candy bars he was saving for himself; the Beedrills, loving sweet sugary treats, were subdued. Forming a strong bond with one Beedrill in particular, Aki began to formulate a better plan than running away.

In the oncoming weeks, Aki and the Beedrill became inseparable. He would visit the pokemon every day after school and bring as many sugary, delicious treats as possible. It was then, of course, no question that when the boy asked his Pokemon friend for a favor he and his Beedrill pals were all too eager to help their little fleshy friend.

On a bright, Spring morning, Aki walked to school. On his belt were six Pokeballs hidden under his shirt. He waited until the perfect opportunity for his plan; the playground, during recess when all the children were let out for an hour each day. The bullies were approaching Aki, ready to bother him for another hour of his life....when the boy drew up a Pokeball.

And then three more. And then six. Until his hands were full. And then he let them go.

Bedrill swarmed the playground.

More buzzed in from the forest. Kids screamed and ran. Teachers shrieked and dove for cover.

Aki laughed. He laughed, and laughed, and laughed."

And then he got kicked out of school, his parents sent him on his Pokemon adventure at 11, he got into the big city and was convinced by a Biker gang to get face tattoos (POOR LIFE CHOICE, CLEARLY) and battled his way through Hoenn and Jhoto and Kanto etc, etc, etc.

About Aki's Personality
Aki is a dick. He's a genuine jerk with no real sympathy for those who might need it. He punches little girls and takes their lunch and their lunch-money. He's become the thing he hated most as a child - a narcissistic bully. He's got a Napoleon complex and an ego the size of Texas. He has a pathological need to win at everything and is an exceptionally sore loser (he lashes out or falls into emo depression).

Aki doesn't work well with others except if they might further his goals to win. Then he tends to use them as a tool to benefit himself. The only people he has genuine feelings for and trust are Puprin and Yoichi; the rest of his team which he collected on Ohana (Leeds, Lee, Hal, Murray and Jack) he's still learning to trust. Instead, he abuses them liberally to further his goals! WHAT A GUY.

About Aki's Pokemon
I swear I will keep this short and sweet because this description is getting out of hand.

Axel: Axel was Aki's first caught Pokemon. He is loyal and overprotective of his trainer, which can sometimes make him dangerous in benign situations. He is hardly ever put in his ball as he's Aki's "security blanket".

Liverpool: Liverpool is a major goofball. His heads are always nattering on about anything they can (for extra hilarity, imagine it in Ringo's voice from the Beatles!) they frustrate Aki to no end and he rarely uses Liverpool in battle.

Overflow: Amorous but easily angered. This Feraligatr should have Attract as a move but Aki'd be afraid of how often he'd use it. Overflow will fall in love with certain Pokemon in the field of battle, and while he's very loyal to Aki's commands he will oftentimes need to be told the other Pokemon has falsely slighted him in some way to battle properly. If he's angered, he will do anything to crush his opponent.

Rumble: This Pokemon lacks much of a personality. He just likes to electrocute his opponents soundly. He's a very well-behaved, benign Pokemon.

Chompers: Wants to eat everything he can get his fat little fingers on. This Gible will eat edible and inedible items. He is a nuisance like no other. Fortunately, he's also small so he's easily controlled. Aki will often tell him his opponents have cookies in their pockets to get him to battle properly.

Fissure: Will burninate everything. He's a cranky, hot-headed, irritable and unpredictable Pokemon. Aki can sometimes control his rage but Fissure will occasionally turn on his trainer if he doesn't like his tone of voice or how he's looking at him or the color of his shirt that day. Aki doesn't use him often as he's powerful and dangerous. Aki says Fissure's training is still "in-progress" as he's one of Aki's newest Pokemon.
