Description My entry for the Themed #AkuRoku contest, I chose supernatural.
Hmm, here's a little story behind the drawing:
-----
"After dying in a drowning incident, Roxas winds up back in time.
Identifying the unfamiliar emerald orbs and fierce hair, a crimson samurai looms before him.
A predestined ceremony of reincarnations and a thousand spider lilies.
Bound to the annals of history, Roxas played the role of misfortune.
However, in this life...Axel is determined not to let him go."
Axel and Roxas had both lived during the Edo period of Japan. Unfortunately, the latter was killed in a battle that assisted the war.
It is said that around Roxas's grave, Spider Lilies had bloomed, radiating a mournful aura.
Rumor say the flowers are a representation of blood shed, feeding from the very roots of (his) red liquid that once gave life.
It is given that Axel had eventually died that year, the cause was marked unknown but many would whisper suicide.
"The red samurai loved him as fire loved innocence and as a sunflower loved the sun,
as plague loved death and as a sparrow loved the snow.
He loved him as a man loved war, as an evening loved sunsets,
and as the gods loved to twist the threads of fate and watch their tragic endings play out."Following his first death, Roxas was reincarnated in a different period. Like a petal drifting along a calm, infinite river,
he was moving forward with the current of time. A continuous separation from his beloved in the form of a ritual pertaining life and death.
Five thousand years of countless reincarnations later, Roxas is a university student whose life ends as he drowns.
It was then, a water spirit had offered him a chance to bend the fabrics of time, but with an equivalent sacrifice.
He agreed.

Symbol of the flowers:
In Japan, Spider Lilies are usually associated with graveyards. They are said to be the flowers that grow in hell,
and also the flowers that mark the path towards reincarnation. For this latter reason, they are sometimes presented
as bouquets to the deceased at Japanese funerals. A saying goes that if two people
will never meet again, Spider Lilies will be found in their path as they part.
