a badge done for Quentin Coyote of his pimp fursona! I actually had fun with this character, he was just a blast to draw for some reason and it gave me an excuse to study canine fur a little more
.Im not submitting this to my formal gallery as I am trying to save it for the highly polished/time consuming pieces. Besides sometimes the comments and faves I r4eceive on scraps mean more to me than those I get on my deviations. Thank you to all those that take the time to delve into my scraps and leave kind hearted words for me

This is a beautiful piece! If I could put stuff like this into my scraps, I'd be honoured.
The fur is absolutly beautiful, you can definatly see the amount of time that has been put into it. I love the suit, too! The highlighting on it is just right.
Theres one thing that keeps bugging me, though - And it's based on an assumption - But the hat looks off to me. If, like on the viewable side, the hat folds behind the ear on the opposite side, then it hangs too low after it curves. It's been bugging me, sorry!

Well you see that would be the nice thing about drawing in a mix of toony and real, things don't always HAVE to be necessarily feasible..but as long as the eye accepts them it works. That's not to say one should use that as a scapegoat to not figure things out in real space, but sometimes a piece needs only the illussion of reality.

I know how hard it is to draw animal characters with hats that have very wide rims and I was just wondering how such a wide rimmed hat would work on him? I personally find it a little bit of a cop out to have a hole in the hat for thier ears so I'm glad you didn't go with that. Just pondering how you tackle this problem when one araises?
Apart from that, t'is a lovely image and just as worthy of being a full dev and not just a scrap

I love the pose and expression! Just one thing looks off: his muzzle looks crooked.
I love the soft blue highlights. It really looks like moonlight. The background is great for this character. It doesn't distract from him, but it's far from boring.

I just love how realistic this piece seems to be, but still with a joyful touch of catoonism! The fur of the canine character is just amazing, it seems to be so smooth, and not a single hair is out of place ^^ Fact is, that for a pimp character, that is very nice, and also fitting ^^
I love how you have shaded the hat and suit. It makes the texture of them seem real, and very possible for one to see before one.

I really like your color choice, and that it all feels soft, but still a bit scary ^^ with the moon for example.

Very interesting looking! I love how you added a nice toutch of cartoony-ness into his eyes and lips! it gives him great character. As always, I love they way you paint fur.
