The Eagle Warrior were an elite group for the Aztecs. Every aztec would receive from an early age all the needed training for war. But only those with the physical and metal aptitude would be part of this group, that along with the Jaguar Warriors, would lead the battle.The main aspect for this, was that everyone could be part of the Eagle Warriors, from the slaves to the royalty.
We're living difficult times in Mexico right now... maybe it's time to rescue the old teachings and lead the way to a peaceful revolution.

Aztecs come from Aztlan, the lost Atlantis of legend. They were to call themselves the Mexica, eagles hunting serpents, resisting an old serpent power renewed in the world, to avoid sins of the Atlantean.
While elsewhere, the teachings of the spiritual materialist (the feathered serpent) Quetzalcoatl about sacrificial evolution were twisted into human sacrifice.
Quetzalcoatl has descended to the Tribes two times to guide them to a new path, without human sacrifice.
Oh Aztecs, they refused to listen to gods and they were damned to a battle already lost... lost in the land, lost in their path, surrounded by trinkets deaf to their callings, and extinguished by conquerors, new otherworldly conquerors who listened to their gods.

The Atlantis origin theory has always been appealing to me.
I'm quite sure there was a common origin. The current investigations about Aztlan lead to some place north Mexico or near Peru. If they find it, they might as well have found Atlantis.
Quetzalcoatl teachings are still among us... just as the evil he prevented us from. His return is matter of time... maybe not literally, but the fact you and me are talking about is the testament of the fulfilment of a prophecy

Actually, the fall of Atlantis (around 11,000 years ago when their last island was destroyed/sunk) coincides with the beginnings of civilization of Toltecs and Egyptians.
