**Giggles!**

Since being a little kid, something about water has captured my fascination. Mom had said that it was probably the fishing trip where she and Pop were worried that I just about drowned. I don't remember it much, but I do have some impressions of me being underneath the boat while Pop's arm was reaching down to grab me. Frightened? Strangely enough, no. Mom would insist on me learning how to swim and I sure did learn, taught by a host of annoying lifeguard bunnies and a Marine drill sergeant friend of Pop's up in Lexington Park, Maryland. It wasn't soon after becoming an islander on St. Simons in the 1970s that I learned my love for the beach and then later in the 1980s, we got the pool at Mom and Pop's place, the infamous Unicorn Dune. Pop said that I had become more aquatic than some of the SEALS that he knew. But, it would be the allure of my friend's pond that was hypnotic ... not sure why. In the waning years of my folk's lives, they moved out to Bonifay, Florida and lived on a lovely lake. You had alligators and retirees, which was a bad mix! But fun times ... still, I remember falling asleep out on the bench swing Pop had put up there for Mom. Somehow, an alligator parked himself about fifty feet down from me on the property and all he did was lay there, sunning himself. Mom screamed and Pop came running out there to get me the hell out of there. But he couldn't be more mystified! I don't think I was in trouble ... mainly because I was not shooting him with any guns like the others had done. Mom couldn't stop shaking and Pop couldn't stop laughing.

Still for me ... it's fun times.

I believe it was about this time last month that I discovered my new friend and wonderful artist, The powerful images that she does through the strength of painting is truly awe inspiring! Her came up with this one above as a YCH which captured my interest right away.
