Description After ascending through the hall of stairs and the hall of mosaics where I met you, we found our way at last to the Glass Hall. There we faced the hard part--choosing the crystal. But I looked in your eyes and saw reflected there the answer. Then at once the white winds rose up in a torrent of stormy voices and the great ivory doors swung open. We ventured cautiously into the room where the woman stood waiting, the Stone on its pedestal beside her. But what struck us most was not its sparkling, milky white surface, but the sound it created, and the voices that moved inside it. It was a sound to break thoughts and shatter nightmares. It sliced through confusion, exhaustion and pain, giving clarity to our dreams and a cutting edge to our desires. The Stone sang then with the voice of the woman, and I realized that she was both its guardian and its soul, as you are mine.

Story and piece inspired by track 5 of the album "White Winds", by Andreas Vollenweider.

This one-of-a-kind hand-crafted wire wrap beach glass pendant features a translucent, crystalline piece of sea glass engulfed in stone and glass beads and wrapped in an ornate setting of silver-plated copper wire.  There is a very slight greenish tint to the sea glass, but it is almost unnoticeable. Pendant measures 1.5 inches in length and comes with a complementary ribbon, cord, or chain pending availability.

Thank you!  By the way, my boyfriend still announces several days out of any given week that Veronica is the cutest plush ever.

Aww haha, I'm glad!
I would love to trade with you again sometime... Unfortunately I never really got beyond sewing those plushies and I haven't crafted anything in months, it's all drawings and paintings now x_x As soon as I learn something worth trading I will be in touch xD

Plushies are awesome, although I admit I am running out of room in my tiny RV for them  I wouldn't be at all opposed to a drawing or painting, except that I also have no wall space (it's all windows and cabinets).  Although!  If you could laminate whatever you made me, I could tape it to one of my cabinets without damaging it.

I could probably laminate an A4 piece at work, but that's probably the biggest I could go ><

Thank you! That one would regularly be up for 30$, but I have a 30% off sale for two weeks, lowering the price to 21$ plus shipping. So if you do decide you're interested, now is a good time to get a discount! If not, there's always more sales in the future. Alas I know how it is not to have cash for stuff, as I'm in quite a bind myself at the moment. Otherwise there's so many lovely things I'd purchase from people on this site ...

oh, thank you! In reality the "stone" is a sea glass! I really like this piece and hope to make more in this direction in the future! It's awesome of you to come by again!

Out of curiosity, what's exactly a sea glass?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

balthasarcraft In reply to Little-Vampire [2010-04-15 05:16:49 +0000 UTC]

ooh, sea glass is glass that was thrown into the ocean (litter), like broken bottles and such. It tumbles and tumbles in the waves and washes up again, and when it does, the edges are smooth (relatively) and there's a different texture to the glass, more like stone than glass. I don't have a lot of cash to buy stones to set, and shells tend to chip, but i can pick up sea glass for free and set it without as much trouble as shells give me!
