i like the new Dante but as a separate character from the real Dante so im glad DmC is set in a parallel universe. But if they permanently changed Dante to this i would seriously freak out.

I finally have an explanation for New Dante. So here it is.
Nero got him into drugs. It started with weed, then moar came along. Dante, as the broke f**ker he is, couldn't pay people back, and was on the lamb. Cut and dyed his hair. As for the emaciation..... he's a junkie, they get skinny xD And now ppl are after him. So he's NOT smoking a cig, he's smoking a joint xD See my story line is SO much better than Capcom's xD

Its not new Dante. This is how Dante looked when he was around 18 years I think. The new game is about the younger years of Dante, before he grew Into the Dante we know from Dmc 1-4

now I'll have to oppose myself. I never really liked dmc 5 from the beginning, was just trying to keep a neutral position. This is supposed to be an alternate reality universe to the old games, and they out vergil in it to.. wth is up with that? and indeed dante was 18 in dmc 3, besides this guy could never be dante

Im giving him a chance i rather hate twilight and to those people that think he looks like a twilightreject r wrong i just think it might be ok but the new dante can never replace our lovable demon hunter. Oh and p.s this is not to the artist this is some of the commenters that go over bored and i still love the art.

It doesn't matter. If character design is everything in a game no one would have played God of War. Hell this Dante looks better compared to Kratos!
