...Upon seeing the cave ahead of him, Nando ran straight into it, to escape the rain. I'll rest here for a while, he thought, then once this has died down, I'll head home. That had been on his mind, until he backed up into the wall and the fingertips touching it felt the rock away. Startled, Nando whipped around and found that the cave seemed to expand.
He took a few steps to investigate that peculiar occurances, and suddenly he somehow lost his footing and fell through a hole that had not been in his sight moments before. Catching his breath, still on the floor, he looked up from where he fell, only for that offending trap to magically fill itself with more rock. Fear took hold of Nando like a cold; he just couldn't put a finger on what was going on and why...
"That was quite a silly mistake, Nando."
The man stood up with a great jolt - he knew that voice from anywhere. How on earth did that boy know I was here, he thought.
"Ash?" he called, but no reply came. His worries strengthened; not only did he fear he would never find a way out of this new cave, but he was also very unsure whether it really was his friend Ash Ketchum who called out to him - that still-unbroken voice sounded as mocking as the silence that enveloped him. "ASH?" he tried again, but the voice didn't come to him; instead, a flight of stairs formed to his left and were climbing up to the ceiling, which melted away into blackness.
Nando hesitated over what to do next. He was very curious about the stone staircase's destination, but he was afraid of what lay before him. It could be Ash, he thought, or what sounds like him, he added grudgingly; he was still suspicious about that voice. Finally, curiosity taking over cautiousness, Nando headed up the steps, his heart pounding wildly like a drum being played at a rock concert. His head was still swimming with ideas of who or what was waiting for him, all of them unpleasant and unwanted.
He estimated that he had taken at least thirty steps until he across a heavy-looking wooden door with a brass handle that resembled a Duskull. Gulping, the man took a hold of it, turned it, and opened it.
What Nando saw was far from what he was expected; the door opened out to a room that was rather narrow, despite it's length and high ceiling, from where hundreds and hundreds of Zubats slept, hardly stirring a wing, but it beheld enough room to hold two rather unappealing objects, which were placed right in the middle in front of him. One of them was a huge black cauldron that beheld bubbling blood-red brew that Nando did not want to pander about. The other, placed near the back of the room was a sandy-coloured throne that was rather oddly curved; Nando had never seen anything like that before. Two Murkrow were perched on top of it, glaring at him with beady red eyes, and right between them was a skull which protruding two stick-thin arms from beneath.
Sitting on the hideous furniture, a malicious grin spread across his face, was Ashakura, the rejuvenated King of Pokelantis, and Ash Ketchum's evil ancestor. While both of them shared the same voice, build, skin tone and odd lightning bolt-shaped birthmarks on their cheeks, they were, as Nando found out a while ago, very different in a lot of ways. Ashakura's hair was raven-black rather than blue-black and fell to his knees. He wore a long, black, short-sleeved coat over a blue t-shirt and black jeans that were tucked into leather boots. The fingers which rested on armrests that, to Nando, resembled a creature somewhere between a Lugia and a Charizard, beheld long black nails, and his eyes were violet rather than a warm hazel. Hanging from his neck was the stone orb that not only was the main inspiration for the Pokeballs of the current generation, but also held Ashakura's corrupted soul for thousands of years.
"Come, Nando," he said, his voice cold and full of mockery, "don't be shy..." Suddenly his eyes glowed, revealing serpentine slits, and they seemed to, literally, pull Nando in. The man had only rushed away from the door for a second but he knocked into the cauldron, knocking the wind out of him. His face was inches from the red liquid, his silky black hair almost slipping into it. Drawing a huge breath, Nando pulled himself away, getting a better look at the cauldron as he did - a skull much like the one on top of the throne was moulded into it, and it was surrounded by scant branched of thorns and two winged Dragonairs.
"Wh-where am I?" he asked, fear once again sweeping over him like a huge wave.
"Long time, no see" Ashakura merely replied. Nando hardly needed reminding about that one other occasion; he had nearly died at the creature's hands, a possible source of food for him, to preserve his youth and powers, but it was thanks to Ash that he was still here.
The only reply Nando gave was terrified look at him. He then turned his eyes to the cauldron. "Wha-what is this?" he asked nervously. "Who...who is this for? Ash?"
"Ashakura gave a nasty chuckle that launched into a horrid cackle that sent a unwanted shiver down Nando's spine - the sight of the vampire creature squirming on his throne, tossing his unruly black hair and shrieking madly was making him so uncomfortable, he took a few brave steps back.
"Oh no," Ashakura had managed to recompose himself. "I didn't make this for him - " his smile became less manic, his expression mocking innocence " - it's for you."
Nando could not believe what he was hearing - he didn't want to believe it. Ashakura had set him up, just for that? He remained rooted to the spot, no course of action came to mind - it was only when the creature started talking in a strange tongue that he decided he shouldn't be in this room any longer.
He has taken just a few steps when something took a hold of him - something lifted his cape and hair; something that caused his eyes to glow red. He groaned in pain as his hands turned into hideous claws that were, overall, pale, but were black at the tips. With all his might, Nando fought and fought against this horrid force; only when his whole body coursed with pain did he scream put in agony, Ashakura laughing madly at his torture. And then, his whole world went black, knowing he had lost a battle that couldn't even be won...

I got this idea when made a journal entry about a possibility of Nando getting possessed by a demon, and it just came to my head that he might be used to go and kill Ash by a disgruntled you-know-who......

I don't own Nando, I don't own the Pokémon mentioned, and I don't own the King of Pokelantis, or Ashakura, as I want to call him.
