Generally there’s not much call for these kinds of angles and in hindsight I can see why. Some of these shots look a lot more suspect than the photos did. However, drawing the body from this perspective is tough as the contours start to lie along the same plane of vision. For example, as the thigh and knee become much more front on a lot of the quad muscles are hidden or obscured behind one another. Also, when drawing a torso in a standing position, muscles such as the obliques taper towards the crotch but from beneath the width and ‘bulge’ of the muscle gives the contour line rather than the definition against the skin.
