A faint rustle in the grass made Esmera prick her dainty ears in surprise. A spunky little filly crept towards her with as much stealth as she could manage. Esmera rolled her eyes and smiled. Pippa always tried to be the master of disguse, but what she hadn't learned yet was that equines had acute hearing senses, and that if the wind was behind you, the horse you were creeping up on could smell you before you could see them. Pippa rocked back onto her hind hooves, ready to pounce onto her mother. Esmera spun around, meeting the filly halfway through her attack.
"Gotcha."
