Its kind of old but it was a collaboration I did with lancermonna. I did the lineart and she colored it oO. I um....wish to retry to draw him again in a more current style maybe. Yep he's a boy.From the day he was born he was locked away deep in a dark cave filled with water but no life, and he was all alone. It was a cruel joke played by god to see what a creation with no other living creatures around it would grow to be... He did know emotion though, pain, sadness, lonliness...and he felt as though he were the only creature such as he in existence...unlike the rocks that held him prisioner he could move about, and unlike the water he had solid form...but no language for he had no one to speak it to, and forever blind because he had no use for his eyes in the darkness. One day an angel took pity upon him and set him free, teaching him about the world he had never known.

It was just a character but he does have a story. In truth he was an rp character invented as an attempt to further my writing skills. Blind and mute since birth he has to express himself in other ways without any form of visual description. It was very difficult

thats awesome. i find most artist i know personally have an unwritten story to a character they frequently draw. its really cool because it gives you inspiration and them more the story builds the more characters you get and the more detailed the pictures become. it was a really nice piece.

could I offer a suggestion?
the shadows make him seem like he has boobs...lol. which would lead to the assumption he is a girl. his arms are slender as well...lol. hes hot though...GOOD JOB!

thanks. Not really sure how to respond to the suggestion. My original intent when I started drawing this was androgeny and in the end I just decided the character was male, My friend colored him so I suppose I could pass the advice onto her though she's improved a lot since then. *its a little old*

Lancermonna did a loverly job with the coloring. :3 You did a great job with the lineart, too. I love all the intricate detail, especially on his hair and head-wrap thingy.

wrong, just it looking like a human makes it, so it is BASED off reality as most works of fiction are... even fantasy as well... you say that an angel took pity on him. well, there you are, an angel is something from the bible. If it were truly not based on that then such a term wouldn't even be in there and further more how are you're viewers supposed to know all these things if they haven't even read your stuff? besides, it's just one letter... you even said so yourself "gods." Further more to stem away from the idea several would be even less like the real world and it would seem even crueller... since most people asociate the word "God" with The Almighty(even I myself with my first comment) and the word "angel" likewise... again, I repeat, it's just one letter...

um...fiction is fiction...I dont understand why it would be assumed that a fictional character would be automatically bound by the rules of a real god...it seems his story is fictional enough just reading into the fantasy elements of the image itself, should be enough to know that its not based off anything real. It gets old writing disclaimers stating that a fantasy story isn't based off the bible.

Didn't B.F. Skinner lock his daughter in a plain white box for 2 years, just to see what happened, and she ended up as an idiot? Like, couldn't even be taught anything because her brain turned to mush?
