Description i stood by the open doorway,
my back against the cold, brick building.
the cool mist sprayed on my cheeks,
and i was soothed by the chill and the fresh air.
loneliness lingered there with me.
cars hummed by,
and i wondered if the rain would last.
i wondered where the drivers were going
and what they were coming from.
why does everyone drive so fast?
