Description Im not quite sure what kind of butterfly this is but its at the museum in Milwaukee. I went and hung out with the butterflies after I seen the titanic exhibit, which I reccomend go seeing, it is AWESOME! but after a while I think that the butterflies realized that I wasnt going to eat them or something, and I was just being bombarded with butterflies. but when I first went into the butterfly exhibit, everyone was laughing at me because these HUGE butterflies would just come out of no where and scare the heck out of me. lol.

Its alittle tricky with this species but I can narrow it down to 2 for you. Its either the Tiger Longwing (Heliconius hecale) or a Numata Longwing (Heliconius numata). I personally am leaning toward the Numata. Also, had you begun to sweat in the exhibit, butterflies are often attracted to sweat.
