Description The sunlight shines strongly through the trees,
The well worn path beneath my feet familiar,
Running joyously through the woodlands.
With you hot in pursuit I flee, laughing to the wind.
I bound through a stream, splashing water,
Droplets like glistening diamonds spraying all.
You grin in your pleasure as you catch the small torrent.
Water runs from our bodies as the chase continues.
Finding ourselves in a long grassed clearing,
You quickly close the distance and lunge.
I turn my head to see this bodily projectile,
And I squeal my surprise as I fall beneath you to the soft ground.
We roll about in the summer grasses, wrestling playfully.
In the end you triumph and the sounds of our joy ring through the air.
We lay there like that, under the warm summer sun,
A gentle kiss is awarded to the winner,
A strong embrace for the other.
Lying there, near the trees, listening to the insects buzz,
We drift off into a midday slumber.

This poem brings about such a great scene of childish (well, maybe young adultish) playfulness. It kind of makes me think of the scene in the Lion King with "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" playing in the background. I have to wonder though, who did you think about when you thought of this?

There wasn't so much a reality there, it is just something that I would find extremely amazing to experience. I love the woods and deep down, I am a hopeless romantic.
