Shrieking terrors of the coastlines, Sirens, also known as Lesser Sea Harpies are female monsters that incorporate both human and bird-like qualities like their cousins the true Harpies along with having a fish-like tail. They are found in tropical locations and can be seen patrolling the coast for potential prey, mainly seabirds, and small creatures.
Sirens are known to lure in human sailors with serenading songs, then in flocks, swarm the crew, and devour them all. Shipwrecks are a common sight near heavily populated areas full of Sirens, but when Sirens are threatened they will shriek loud ear-piercing cries to warn sailors and potential predators. The common predator of Sirens is the  Greater Sea Harpy, a surprisingly large coastal species of true harpy, they will invade Siren flocks and eat them or steal their kills.
Due to the Sirens luring sailors to kill them, they gave Mermaids a bad reputation, on top of that Sirens are usually found alongside Mermaid colonies.
Sirens are capable of taming, however, due to their viciousness, most tamers of Sirens are pirates. If you can tame a Siren, they are loyal and can understand human language, making them efficient companions.
