I'm not familiar with the series, but this style is absolutely amazing. It reminds me of the textured, story-book backgrounds from Yoshi Story.

One Piece actually borrows a bit of it's style from Lupin and Monkey Punch. It's a very well done series.

By the way, you're welcome. I've seen One Piece back in a few of the old Shonen Jump magazines I have, but... I imagine it's probably best to just sit down with that manga alone and give it a good look-see. It's too bad the dubbed show was apparently very painful...

true... it was HORRIBLE. But the uncut DVDs coming out now are far superior. I hope people pick it up soon. Most fun I've had with a series in a long time.

Haha, thanks a lot! I think Usopp doesn't get the respect he deserves from fans. I noticed that the physically weaker a Strawhat might be, the more jobs and usefulness they have to the crew. Usopp is a marksman, artist, inventor and tactician. I look forward to ever fight he has!

I love that he's not as physically strong as everyone else. He proves that a someone with the strength of a regular person can still excell as a brave pirate. He doesn't just kick ass. He really uses his head and his many talents.
