I like this a lot. She has the indulgent look of a mother that is really quite appropriate considering her domain. I like that the earth looks so small in her hands . . . she could crush it, but you somehow sense she will not. Love the coloring.

I wouldn't say she looks sad. It looks like she's looking at something with a lot of love. Like a mother looks at her infant child, with love and pride. Kinda fits with the whole Gaia thing.
