What the other guy says. It's not "his thing." He just applies his own unique style to the task. People like his style and pay him for his work. Pretty standard caricature fair. If he "inspired you" to do it, he would almost certainly appreciate a shout out on the actual work (not that I can speak for Banzchan, but I'm just guessing), but he doesn't have the copyright on caricature work.
