My entry for Void's Sentai Tournament 2009Made a Kamen Rider-type fighter, based on a mantis (man, it was HARD to adapt a manti's body features on a human body!) and as such will fight like one.
Funny fact is that I choose the mantis to make a more "weak but agile and critical" character, due to the kung fu mantis style and all that; but once I saw some videos of mantises in action.....dude, what were those chinese kung fu lads smoking??
Matises are absolutely BRUTAL! They grab, dismember and crush, there'are no fancy jumps and quick but not so brutal strikes!
In fact, seeing them do their thing reminded more of a luchador than a kung fu fighter.

The only thing I think could use work is the eyes. I think they should be larger and rounder. But other than that, I think it's awesome. Like a mix of old school rider (love the scarf) with the newer riders.

Sadly I really suck at making usual Rider heads, for some reason when I draw 'em they look goofy beyond belief.
Eventually I came up with a head design really similar to the current one and despite my original dislike for it (since it didn't look like a Kamen Rider), I actually got attached to it...can't really explain why in hell.
